WHITES

Pinot Grigio $12.00

An Italian-style white wine with fresh, zesty notes of grapefruit aromas and flavors. A crisp, clean finish on this wine makes it great with salads and lighter entrees.

Chardonnay $12.00

This stainless-steel Chardonnay is autumn in a bottle with is cool, fresh, crisp flavors. Medium bodied characteristics are captured in this wine by utilizing slow, cool fermantation. Balanced flavors of pear, citrus, and melon make this a great table wine.

Barrel Chardonnay $14.00

This is an elegant, barrel-fermented wine with notes of fig, melon, and toasty oak flavors. It finishes with a smooth, creamy, buttery flavor without being overbearing. The Barrel Chardonnay is RayLen's best-selling white wine. It serves well with seafood and chicken.

Viognier (Pronounced "vee-ohn-yay") $13.00

This rare French Rhone grape is used in California mostly as a blending grape to bring out the floral tones of a Chardonnay. It does so well in North Carolina that its produced as a stand-alone. Lovely peach, apricot and floral notes with a crisp finish make this wine perfect with shellfish.

South Mountain's Vineyard Chardonnay $15.00

Located on the South Mountains in Burke County, North Carolina, this vineyard's prime location offers higher elevation, cooler mornings, and cooler evenings, which ripens this Chardonnay to perfection. This single-vineyard chardonnay is aged in French oak and has creamy, buttery aromas that are delightfully followed by a soft vanilla and oak flavor.

Yadkin Gold $13.00

A blend of Chardonnay, Viognier, and Riesling make this wine a medium-dry with a wide range of flavors including pineapple, honeydew melon, and magnolia. It's a wonderful picnic wine, perfect with cheeses, fruits, and chicken salad sandwiches.

Riesling $12.00

Quite unlike the Riesling you're used to drinking, this is a semi-dry wine with smooth notes of honey on the front end and crisp acidity on the back end. This pairs with soft cheeses, fruit, and light entrees or Thai food.

REDS

Carolinius $14.00

Classic red varietals selected in this harmonious blend include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petite Verdot. This is a nice, medium-bodied wine with a smooth, silky finish making it a perfect table red.

Shiraz $12.00

Light on the palate from the soft tannins, this Shiraz has a spicy, peppery finish. It's a perfect compliment to North Carolina style barbecue or Indian food, rich with curries.

Merlot $13.00

A jammy, blackberry finish intrigues the palate with soft textures with this traditional-style Merlot. French oak aging concentrates the flavors and softens the tannins. Pair this Merlot with roast beef for a well-rounded meal.

Cabernet Franc $15.00

Liquid velvet in a bottle, the Cabernet Franc is smooth, plush, full bodied, but not too heavy. Its smoky notes make it a perfect wine for sipping by the fireside, cuddling, and eating chocolates. For dinner, pair this wine with lamb or duck.

Category 5 $18.00

The same five grapes as the Carolinius, the Category 5 is a big, bold, powerful red named after the biggest, boldest, most powerful hurricane. This full-bodied Cabernet blend pairs well with a nice cut of beef or some game like venison.

Eagle's Select $25.00

This Reserve wine stands alone in strength of body and characer. The best of the vineyard's Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabenet Franc, Merlot, and Petite Verdot create a Bordeaux blend of deep color, complex flavor, and intoxicating aroma. The Eagle's Select is aged for 18 months in new French oak, making it a perfect wine to sip today or to cellar gracefully for years.

Cabernet Sauvignon $15.00

Drinking this wine will be like sitting in your favorite easy chair in front of the fire: Luscious tones of cherry, tobacco, and supple leather swirl around the glass and fill the room. It's aged for nine months in a blend of new and seasoned oak, giving it rich flavor and body. A limited number of cases make this Reserve wine a must-have.

Pale Red $9.99

A fresh, bright, and lively fruity red wine offers hints of strawberry and sweet cherry flavors. This Rosé is RayLen's only sweet wine. It's a wonderful porch-sipping wine and pairs well with cheese and fruits.

NEW!!!

Sparkling Brut $23.99

A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, this Sparkling wine is a new favorite at RayLen. Notes of strawberry, honey, and raspberry on the nose and good acidity and balance on the palate make the Sparking a perfect compliment to oysters, berries ala creme, and brie.
